Impressive stats, I guess I didn't realize how balanced the car was stock, I'm sure a full tank helps a lot too (6 lbs per gal). I was more focused on weight distribution after shedding some lbs via fiberglass/plastic hatch, stripped interior, fuel cell, anything else you pull off the back- which lets me entertain this idea. I think marginalism would say the benefit wouldn't be worth all the time/ cost in fabbing the transaxle up- but then again how many times do fanatics listen to reason when building up a project race car ;) Or maybe I'm just way to attracted to going to the extreme even if the difference is minimal, just to be doing it differently.
